CENTRAL AFRICA MEDICAL MISSION
“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Happy Christmas!
It’s amazing how quickly December comes with all its celebrations. The festive season is greatly celebrated here in Malawi, there are many decorations, most big shops have Christmas decorations and in the local areas loud music is played and a lot of high spirits in those areas. On the Christmas day family gatherings are one of the best things, most Malawians start the day by going to church and then have a nice family meal mostly chicken, rice and drinks as well as crossover events for new year.
God is the source of every blessing, and everything belongs to Him. But He places us and gives to each of us as He sees fit, expecting that we use His gifts to benefit others. No matter what your situation is, you can always do something for someone in need, whatever that need looks like. If you have time, offer it; develop your talents, and use them; if you have money, share it; if nothing else, be a prayer warrior. It is in these times that you see some families and individuals not in high spirits during the holiday season, not because they don’t want to be happy, but because they cannot afford to be cheerful and they don’t even know if they can feed their family. So, in the festive season it is good to remember with just a little, we can help the less privileged.
As Christians, we know that the true meaning of Christmas is believing that God sent his son into the world to be our Savior from sin. The people we serve at the Lutheran Mobile Clinic need not only to be healed from physical problems, but spiritual. The difficulties of life can be faced with the help of the truths of the Bible. The Gospel of God’s great love and forgiveness in Christ is the joyful Christmas message we need to share with everyone. We thank you for your part in making this medical mission work possible through your prayers and donations.
Wishing you all a very blessed Christmas.
